ulcerated H @9months old?? Help-do I need treatment now?

My ds was dx with H in his airway, lip(inside and out), tongue and parotid gland at 4 weeks old. He has been doing well on his Propranolol. He was recently dx with hand foot and mouth (fever, sores in throat and groin). But it has been 2 weeks and now I see ulcers on his inner lip on the opposite side from where his lip ulcerated at 3 weeks old (before I knew what was going on). He is in pain but no bleeding.

Can a H ulcerate at any time? Could his H be growing and now ulcerating? If it is his H ulcerating, WHAT DO I DO??

How old is he now? H can ulcerate when rapid growth is happening and we've even seen it with involution as the skin just can't hold up to the changes. The inner lip is ulcerating? I would contact his doctor and find out if you can put zinc oxide product on it being in the mouth...and the taste might make him angry. Yes, do try to post a picture or email me one. If the ulcer continues to get worse and does bleed... laser is sometimes an option to heal the ulcer.

My son is 9 months old. I am not sure if this is some of the hand foot and mouth or his H. Hand foot and mouth was 2 weeks ago, so I don't know. I hope that is all it is, he already has a scar on his lip--which the doctor said "oh it will heal fine".

oh poor baby...I had hand foot and mouth a few years back and it was awful!! My daughter has a lip hemanigioma and she had an ulceration on her upper lip as an infant and it was so painful and so I just feel for you guys. If it were me, I would make sure the specialist took a look at it firsthand just to be on the safe side. I wouldn't want to mess around with any kinds of ulcers in the mouth with the hemangiomas you mentioned. I hope he is feeling real better soon.

Ulcers on inner lip went away after 2 days. Doesn't look like an ulcerated H. Thank God. So hard to not panic at those sort of things. Would not have thought twice if ds didn't have the hemangiomas. Good lesson, he WILL have regular childhood issues to go through and not all will involve his H's.

So glad it turned out ok. It's so weird. Right after I wrote my last post to you about the hand, foot and mouth thing...I discovered that I had it again!!! And my two daughters. We just got back from Disney and I think we picked it up there. It was pretty mild this time though. I might not have even thought about it if I hadn't read about it here.
