Recommendations for plastic surgeons
Does anyone have recommendations for plastic surgeons? I am an adult woman who recently had extensive surgery on a port wine stain in the eye and mouth areas. A well known surgeon with the University of California San Francisco Medical Center performed the surgery. Unfortunately the stitches in the mouth area broke open, and I now have a long deep vertical gash there. Also, my mouth is smaller than before the surgery, and it is no longer symmetrical. The surgeon says that he can re-stitch the gash, but I do not feel comfortable returning to him. I know that this website identifies surgeons; however, I would appreciate hearing from patients (or parents) about their experiences with similar surgery and/or recommendations for surgeons. I am willing to travel.

Thank you for your posting. I hope you solved your problem already. I have a daughter has a PWS on her lower lip and get larger. I am looking for a good way to treat this problem. Could you give me any suggestion? Thank you very much!!

I would highly recommend emailing Dr. Stuart Nelson via the ask the expert. OR you can email me directly and I would be happy to forward a message to him. There are ways to control the growth of the lip pws. Please feel to email me if you have any questions.
