Default Covering After Laser

Hello

I desperately need advice. I have a port wine stain on my neck, face and ear and have been covering it since I was old enough to experience the awful attitudes of my peers. I am now getting laser surgery again and I notice a change in the test patch which is great! BUT I really can't cope with not covering my birthmark after treatment. In particular, I have an event I'm going to with my husband the day after my first full treatment and I really want to wear makeup that evening, just for the evening. I will take it off and moisturise afterwards but I just want to have a normal night and not let me birthmark stop me from something yet again. We already have booked a sitter I had completely forgot about the laser surgery until just now. I know that it is advised that you wait 4-6 days before applying makeup, but would it be okay if I use clean brushes and remove it as soon as I am home? Please share your experiences with this! Thank you very much in advance!

Hi and welcome!

You should really call your doctor and ask. At least speak to the nurse there. Any chance you can reschedule the laser? I would be hesitant to risk makeup right after.

Let us know what happens!

Missy
