Default Really confused, i thought Haemangiomas only appeared in infants?

Hi, I'll give you all a bit of background, I have a five year old, who had two Haemangiomas, one on her scalp and one under her eye on her cheek, both grew until she was about 18 months old and have slowly been fading since.

Fast forward to this morning and she has woken up with a red freckle just underneath the old very faded Haemangioma that was under eye. At the moment it is flat, a couple of mm wide and very red. It looks exactly like the first two when they first appeared.

I'm just wondering if any of you can shed any light on this? Can Haemangiomas appear past infancy?

Hi and welcome!

No, hemangioma do not appear past infancy, certainly not at five years old!

Could it be something else? Small blood blister? Scratch? Anything? Can you post a photo?

Missy
