VM and surgery w/Dr Waner

My daughter has a lymphatic malformation on her neck and has surgery (removing the malformation) scheduled with Dr Waner on 9/8. I was wondering if anyone else has had this done before????

I am worried about the scarring and about the chance of re-growth. Janna (his nurse) says that his plastics are really good, but I don't want my little angel to have any more scars than necessary.

P.S. Dr Waner is also performing the pulsed eye laser on her H for the second time and that seems to be going great. There was alot of improvement after the first one.

Any feedback would be appreciated.

Surgery was postponed until 12-15-04. We were asked to think about sclerotherapy but after researching it and discussing it with Dr Waner & Dr Berenstein we have decided to go with the excision. If anyone has had a similar situation any advice would be appreciated. Thank you !

Surgery was a SUCCESS!! Dr. Waner says that the got the whole LM and it should not come back. Fallon is recovering with a drain right now, but you would never know. She is as happy as can be. Dr. Waner really is a Godsend! :-*
