who's the best doctor

I am 26 years old and have a pws on the left side of my face. I never knew until a short time ago that the birthmark is progreesive and can become thick. I would like to know who is the best doctor in the country concerning PWS. I live in Louisville, KY and not satisified with the dermatologists in town. Also, will continued laser therapy minimize the progression and eventual thickening, scarring, blebs of the birthmark? I would appreciate any response. I'm really quite depressed at learning this. In 26 years not one doctor mentioned this to me or my parents. Thanks.

I would recommend contacting Dr. Hochman in SC. Yes, laser is your best weapon against cobbling, thickening. Dr. Hochman is awesome. Dr. Hochman was trained by Dr. Waner.

Hi. My son is currently being treated by Dr. Hochman for his PWS. He is really great. My son has laser treatments very 6 weeks (he is under GA). I want the PWS treated for the medical reasons (thickening, cobblestoning, bleebs, etc.) the fading is a plus in my book.

Hi. I have heard wonderful things about Dr. Hochman.
My daughter sees Dr Geronemus in New York. He is at the laser and skin surgery center. He is amazing. What he has accomplished for my daughter's pws is unbelievable. I know that NY is far from you but look at his website and also see the before and after pictures.
There are a few Doctor's that I am aware of that are considered Vascular Abnormality Specialists and that I have heard positive feedback about. Dr Geronemus, Dr Waner, Dr. Nelson and Dr Hochman. There are a few more but I am only mentioning the Doctors that I am familiar with.
