The Texas Rangers and Catalanottos Welcome the Vascular Birthmarks Foundation

In June 2007 the Catalanottos presented Linda Rozell-Shannon, VBF President and Founder with a $25,000 check. This donation will be made each year for 3 years. During the game in Texas, an announcer read the following message over the loud speaker for thousands of game attendees to hear. Also, during the game the big gameboard flashed "The Texas Rangers and Catalanottos Welcome the Vascular Birthmarks Foundation." It was a very exciting event. Linda was accompanied by Dr. Stuart Nelson, VBF's Medical Director and Brian and Nicole Bolinger, VBFs largest Day of Awareness fund raisers. The Bolinger's daughter, Nicole, was also with them. Nicole was operated on by Dr. Waner.

This is the message that was read by the announcer just before the Rangers game against Houston.

"At this time, we direct your attention to the area around homeplate for a very special pre-game field presentation. During his last stint as a Texas Rangers, Frank Catalanotto and his wife, Barbara formed a partnership with the Vascular Birthmark Foundation. The Catalanotto's daughter, Morgan was born with a hemangioma and the VBF provided the information and support they needed to make the best decision about their daughter's hemangioma.

Frank Catalanotto Barbara and Frank have served as the honorary chairs of the VBF providing financial assistance and helping increase the awareness and have helped them double in size, which chapters all over the world helping over 25,000 children into treatment.

At this time, Frank, Barbara and Morgan Catalanotto would like to present a check in the amount of $25,000 to the Vascular Birthmark Foundation to help them continue their good works. Accepting the check on behalf of VBF is Linda Rozell-Shannon, President and Founder along with the Bolinger family who reside in Corinth. Their daughter, Nicole was also diagnosed with a hemangioma on her face and through the VBF found the proper treatment.

VBF is making a difference in the lives of families all over the world. Today, there are over 40,000 children born with a vascular birthmark, like Morgan and Nicole and thanks to VBF, these families can get information and the help they need by visiting the VBF website at www.birthmark.org.
