I just wanted to reply to this thread and say that my upper lip hemangioma only became 'apparent' during my pregnancy at the age of 21. Somewhere toward the end of my pregnancy it grew pretty large and seemed to be responsive to the pregnancy hormones (which ones I have no clue!) Before my pregnancy I had no disfigurement. I have not yet come across another case such as mine, but it is certainly possible for some types of hemangiomas to develop in adults later on in life, as it did with me!
