Talking Ultimately happy.

I was born with an arteriovenous malformation on my right cheek. In 1984, at UCLA hospital, the veins were cauterized. I was one of the first people to have surgery on their birthmark. It stopped my birthmark from growing. I have a scar, a lot of remaining scar tissue and you can still see the veins. As disappointing as I feel about my physical appearance, I'm glad my parents made the decision they did. I've seen the rare occurrences of adults that haven't had the surgery at a younger age. The problems and pain they have later in life.
Some people have a hard time accepting my appearance...making brash comments. I might get more corrective surgery in the future. But why, when others believe I'm beautiful.
