Default PWS laser treatment

My daughter is 9 year old, and has born with PWS on the right side of her face. I intend to go on treatment with puls dye laser V-Beam. Please, is there anyone to tell me their experience with this laser treatment... Thank you...

Hello. Depending on how self-conscious your daughter is about her appearance, you may want to prepare her for the appearance of the treated area immediately after the procedure. She may have very dark bruising and as a young girl, may feel awkward while it is healing. The post procedure pictures can be a little daunting, but at her age it may help her to know what to expect. The good news is that it heals quickly and the PWS typically lightens dramatically. Our doctor gave us reassurance that if there is a lot of bruising, it will that much better once it has healed. A nine year old may have trouble with that, but pictures of others results may help her.

As far as the V Beam, it has given my son excellent results and he has tolerated it very well. His vocabulary is limited, he is only two. But he does not express much discomfort after his procedures.

Good luck to you and your daughter.

Dear Kelmel. Thank you for your replay. My daughter is mentally very strong and carry very good with PWS. She never show that it bother her and to anyone who ask about it easily explained that she was born with birthmark, and that it is an ordinary mole. But, I was always afraid how it will deal with it later when she grown up. When she was a little, the doctors told me that it is better not to touch it, but in the last year I have became to different findings.
I hope that with God's help everything will be OK. As I understand, you are satisfied with the results of your son treatment, and I`m very glad.
Thank you for your help...

Wish you and your son all the best...
