Has anyone heard of radium treatment used to remove birthmarks
done in the 1940's or 50's?

Grandfather had a raised vascular birthmark removed on his head
by radium. In short, it caused deafness as a child. It created
disruption to his current mental state.

Any feedback is appreciated.

I have heard of it. I remember years ago, there was a study being conducted on it.

My mother, in the 40's had some sort of radium treatment for acne. She died in 1998 of oral cancer. It started in the exact spot on her face as her treatment. I have no idea if that was related, but for what it's worth....

Not a recommended approach... too risky.
