Default Hair on Hemangioma?

My daughter developed an H a few days after birth. We saw a dermatologist who wants us to see a specialist with more experience with Hemangiomas. Her H started out as a dime size red mark-not raised-and grew til about 2 weeks ago (9 weeks old). It has since started going gray and gets dark spots around it that come and go. I was wondering how many who have done the "wait and see" approach have seen long normal hair grow from the H after it disappears? I also was wondering if any of you know if medical intervention will be needed if it has started the involution phase? Plus, how long before the puffiness starts to go down? Thanks all!
