Default Is this considered fast-growing? (on tip of nose)

2 months ago, my daughter was born with just a slightly pink spot on the tip of her nose above her left nostril. Now the spot has grown bigger, bright red and has changed the shape of her nose and nostril. It also seems to have caused some swelling on the bridge of her nose (where it's not red). I wasn't too worried at first, but now that it's changing the shape of her nose, I'm growing very concerned.

I see our pedi for our 2 month appointment this week and I will be asking for a referral ASAP, but I am hoping to find some reassurance here that it's not too late to reverse the damage so far.

Here are pictures of it at 2 days after birth, 3 weeks ago (5 weeks of age) and today.

Hi there! I would definitely get the referral because of the hemangioma's location. The specialist will be able to go over some options. Hopefully someone will chime in here about nasal tip hemangiomas but from what I've seen I think early treatment is a pretty good idea or early monitoring at the very least. Your daughter is still pretty little so try not to be too worried about it being too late. It's a good idea to continue to take photos too to show any changes. Good luck with the doctors appt. Let us know how it goes!
