Default Lymphatic Malformation around the eye/orbit

My 1 year old son was born with a lymphatic malformation that is both microcystic and macrocystic. It is located above his left eye and covers his eyebrow, eye lid, left side of the forehead, and extends behind his left eye. He is not able to open his left eye 100% and we have been having to patch the good eye to force him to open and use the left eye. He has had two sclerotherapy sessions which reduced the malformation a bit in the forehead area but didn't help the eye much. We are now considering doing more sclerotherapy or surgery. I have been told that he will eventually need surgery at some point in order to remove the mass portion of the malformation and that some surgeons prefer to do surgery prior to any sclerotherapy due to the scar tissue that the process creates. Any thoughts on whether it is best to do surgery prior to or after sclerotherapy? Any recommendations on plastic surgeons that have experience with lymphatic malformations surrounding the eye/orbit in the Chicago land area?
