Default Using Timolol on 2 year old

My son just turned two and they've only now given me the ok to go ahead and try the timolol. He was on Propranol & then Athenolol first starting out. About 6 months ago he was weened off and the birthmark stayed quite flat but darkened in color. Now that he is 2 & is starting to socialize more, some children are scared of his birthmark because it is right by his eye. This of course upsets me, so I'm really hoping the timolol will work!

My question to the doctors is will the Timolol still be effective at two years of age on a flat/patchy hemangomia? If yes, will the medication work faster because of this and the fact that the birthmark is no longer growing? What is the average time to start seeing results? I'm hoping it will fade and take away the color. Day 2 on the timolol. Please send me any feedback! And other users please send me your stories & pics (successful or not of your timolol experience) Thank you~
