TEAM: Purple People Eaters

  • About our Team

VBF Global Ambassador Dakota Roos founded the Purple People Eaters Team to raise awareness for vascular birthmarks. Dakota was born and blessed with a port wine stain on her left check, ear, side of her neck and upper chest. She also has a small patch on her right cheek. She considers herself lucky to have  been receiving treatment since she was 11 Months old – and has continued the process until now.

Please consider contributing to Dakota’s Purple Polka Dot Race Team Page! $500 sponsors a family to attend the VBF annual Conference & Clinic, where they can receive FREE laser treatment, clinical advice, lodging, meals, therapy, and so much more.

All of the funds raised through this Purple Polka Dot Race Team Page will go directly to the PPDR’s goal of $20,000 to support the Vascular Birthmarks Foundation’s non-profit mission. Together, we are making a difference in the lives of the 1 in 10 born with a vascular birthmark.

  • About the Purple Polka Dot Race

Jody, John and the Lee Family founded the Purple Polka Dot Race and Family Fun Run (PPDR) to honor their daughter Meghana and others, like Dakota, who are born with a port wine stain (PWS). Meghana and others receiving laser treatment for their PWS have temporary purple polka dots. The PPDR Team’s mission is to educate our community, raise awareness and encourage acceptance for everyone out there who are also sporting their very own “purple polka dots”!

Now in its 4th year, the Annual Purple Polka Dot Race is the largest run/walk for vascular birthmarks in the country and has a team of dedicated supporters committed to advancing the Vascular Birthmarks Foundation’s non-profit mission. The 4th annual race will be on August 11, 2019 at Eastwood Beach at Stony Creek Metropark in Shelby Township, Michigan.

We appreciate your support! Go team Purple People Eaters!
