Dr. Gregory Levitin is the Director of the Vascular Birthmark Center of New York. He also maintains a part-time practice location in Los Angeles, California.
Dr. Gregory Levitin graduated summa cum laude from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and the University of North Carolina School of Medicine. He completed his residency in Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery at the The Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York City. Combining his talents as both an Otolaryngologist and pediatric plastic surgeon, he later served as Co-Director of Surgical Services at The Vascular Birthmark Institute of New York before establishing his own private practice. Drawing a patient population from the greater New York City and Los Angeles areas, nationally and internationally, Dr. Levitin specializes in caring for children and adults in the diagnosis, management, and medical and surgical treatment of all types of vascular birthmarks, including hemangiomas, venous malformations, lymphatic malformations, port wine stains, and other vascular anomalies. In addition, Dr. Levitin also offers surgical treatment for congenital nevus.
Dr. Levitin is board certified in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery and a Fellow of the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery (AAO-HNS). He is a member of the International Society for the Study of Vascular Anomalies (ISSVA), the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery (ASLMS), and has authored or co-authored several book chapters and national journal articles in the field of hemangiomas and vascular malformations.
