JOIN US for the 2018 VBF Annual Vascular Birthmarks Conference & Clinic at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York, New York on Saturday, October 6, 2018. The conference is one full day, which includes the conference lectures and a clinic with world renowned vascular birthmark experts on Saturday. Free laser treatment and free dental appointments are also offered on Friday, October 5 to eligible registrants. Read complete details below and get your registration form in today to join our #VBFFamily in October.
Conference check-in is at 7:30am and conference sessions will begin at 8:30am on Saturday, October 6. There will be three meeting rooms this year with presentations concerning hemangiomas, port wine stains, vascular malformations, venous malformations, lymphatic malformations, Klippel Trenaunay Syndrome and Sturge Weber Syndrome. Lunch is provided for all attendees from 12:30-1:00pm. Clinic sessions will be from 1:00 to 6:00 pm at the Lenox Hill Hospital. Breakfast and Lunch will also be right at the Hospital, so there is no need to leave once you arrive for check in.
There is a $100 conference/clinic fee per family. This fee entitles the family to admission to the conference, a free clinic appointment, breakfast and lunch, daycare (if needed) and attendance to special sessions (make-up, psychotherapy, support, dental and insurance services). If there is a financial hardship, fees will be waived so long as you complete the request for a fee waiver located at the end of the conference registration form.
This year, we will require a credit card and there will be a $25 processing fee for everyone who registers. If you do not attend the conference and you have a free room, your credit card will be charged $298 (cost to VBF for the hotel room). So, please make sure you are attending when you register. We will give a 100% refund if you cancel 30 days prior to the conference (by September 6, 2018) or a 50% refund if you cancel by September 22nd. There will be no refund after October 1st.
You can still register for the conference to be considered for a FREE laser treatment and/or dental exam on Friday, and to attend the conference lectures and clinic, with free daycare, breakfast, and lunch provided on Saturday. We will continue to accept registrations, but you will need to secure your own lodging.
Dr. Geronemus and Dr. Berenstein will be providing a FREE LASER TREATMENT, without anesthesia, to the first eligible registrants who qualify. All laser treatments will be on Friday, October 5th, the day before the conference, from 9 – 3 PM. To be considered for a free laser session, you will need to be screened and pre-approved by Dr. Geronemus. Screening instructions will be provided after you register.
Dr. David Darrow is working with Columbia University College of Dental Medicine to provide FREE DENTAL EXAMS on Friday, October 5th, from 1 – 4 PM to those who qualify. We will provide updates and reach out to schedule appointments for those who indicated an interest in a dental exam. We will also offer FREE ORTHODONTIC EXAMS with Dr. Carol Fenn at the Conference on Saturday afternoon during the clinic.
As of 7/31, Dr. Darrow and his team are still accepting registrants for free dental appointments.
Other experts will be on each team and will be available for meetings with families throughout the day. Special sessions will be held during the day for make-up, psychotherapy, insurance issues, and support. Other special sessions will be announced once we receive confirmation.
