VBF Operations Manager


Vascular Birthmarks Foundation (VBF) is seeking a full-time Business Operations Manager to join its team. This person would serve as the hub for VBF’s work in the United States and abroad, overseeing all day-to-day internal and external operations. The ideal candidate is a motivated self-starter with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced small nonprofit, with a passion for our mission and vision for organizational growth and enhancement.
Please note: The foundation is a virtual organization and, therefore, the successful candidate will be able to work from home.


Responsibilities include:

  • Draft and maintain institutional internal and external documents and records
  • Maintain correspondence with key stakeholders including doctors, patients, donors and press
  • Maintain daily budget and finances, including processing contributions
  • Monitor and assist with grant writing and donor stewardship
  • Support and advise on overall business development efforts as the organization grows
  • Contribute to the conception and execution of fundraising, events and public relations efforts
  • Oversee part-time and volunteer staff



  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • Highly organized, with attention to detail
  • Excellent communicator, both written and verbal
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
  • Self-directed, quick-learner with a vision for business development and enhancement
  • Interest in and appreciation of VBF’s mission
  • Knowledge of or experience with daily operations of nonprofits preferred
  • Personal experience or knowledge of vascular birthmarks a plus
  • Local/regional candidate is preferred, but this can be a remote position


About Vascular Birthmarks Foundation:

Founded in 1994 as an international charitable organization, VBF works around the world to connect families and individuals affected by vascular birthmark, tumor or syndrome to medical professionals for evaluation and/ or treatment. VBF provides informational resources and sponsors physician education, research, and programs that promote acceptance of people living with birthmarks. VBF also sponsors international medical missions to treat vascular birthmarks and holds an annual conference connecting patients, doctors, educators and supporters.
