I am Scott Cupples, former Global Ambassador Program Director and currently serving the Vascular Birthmarks Foundation as their Chief Operating Officer. I had lived my entire life with an untreated Port Wine Stain vascular birthmark until starting treatments in 2016 (thanks to Dr. Linda, PhD and the VBF). I receive treatments from Dr. Roy Geronemus, as he continues to perform as one of the leading medical professionals in the world for vascular birthmarks. Of course there have been times where my birthmark has had an adverse impact on my life, but I’ve always had the mentality that it will never keep me from accomplishing anything. In addition to my role at VBF, I serve in the NJ Air National Guard as a Senior Master Sergeant, and First Sergeant of the 108th Wing. My goal with VBF is to help as many families as possible who are affected by vascular birthmarks, anomalies and related syndromes, and to continuously spread awareness.
The Vascular Birthmarks Foundation is an organization that is near and dear to my heart. The clinics, conferences, information and connections made through VBF have helped me along my medical and personal journey. The friendships forged through the VBF community have made my life better, and I value what the organization has done for me. As the Chief Operating Officer for the Vascular Birthmarks Foundation, I take tremendous pride in being a leader for our community and a role model for families affected by vascular birthmarks and anomalies.
