Dr. Linda Rozell-Shannon, PhD President and Founder
The Vascular Birthmarks Foundation (VBF) is pleased to announce the VBF 2023 DC Free Laser Clinic on Friday, May 12, 2023, with Pooja Sodha, M.D., F.A.A.D., Director of the Center for Laser and Cosmetic Dermatology, at George Washington University in Washington D.C. This laser clinic is open to both adults and children.
“Often times, those living with a vascular birthmark do not have access to treatment. VBF is committed to ensuring fair and equal access to the latest treatment options for all those living with vascular birthmarks, anomalies, and/or related syndromes (VBARS),” Linda Rozell-Shannon, Ph.D., President and Founder, VBF. “VBF hosts events like this around the world to continue supporting our VBARS community.”
The clinic will offer free laser services by Dr. Sodha to children and adults living with a vascular birthmark, anomaly, and/or related syndrome (VBARS). At VBF’s national and international clinics, free laser treatments are offered to patients who have little access or cannot afford treatment.
“I love the mission of the VBF and am excited to work with them to care for our lovely patients,” Dr. Sodha says. “Since my training, I have come to know how important early intervention—or any intervention for that matter—is in the lives of our patients. If we can help, it is our duty to do so.”
“The VBF is happy to collaborate with Dr. Sodha, who has an impeccable list of credentials,” said Scott Cupples, Chief Operating Officer, VBF, who will be present at the event as the clinic coordinator. “Dr. Sodha has advanced education and training in many of the latest dermatology treatments and techniques, and ensures that safe, compassionate care is her top priority.”
